Without proper, timely health care and love, William would have been left severely disabled from his spina bifida and severe hydrocephalus. We have worked with William and his family for over 7 years on improving his rehabilitation within the community.
Our Health Centre staff provide ongoing care for him to help maintain his physical condition so that he can live life like any other normal child.
We’re delighted to report that with constant improvement over 5 years, he was able to enrol in our primary school and he has even managed to begin walking using crutches and play some sports with his classmates. He is a very joyous bright kid who is a pleasure to be with.
There are many similar, or even greater needs for this sort of care in our communities and we believe all children deserve a fair chance at life. The Wellspring community health practitioners work around the clock to see that these kids get exactly that.
We are always looking for ways to improve our resourcing of this care, so if you have expertise you would like to share with us, please do get in touch.
